The first time I set foot on this island was back in 1986. I met a girl. She wanted me to meet her family (she’s Italian so I was really on an interview).
Needless to say we got married, had kids and finally moved here. I watched this quaint little hidden NYC gem evolve into the biggest little city one could imagine.
Along with the influx of people came a nice choice of restaurants, so my wife and I have been on a mission to eat at all of them (in addition to hitting every other borough).
Some are in business, some have gone away. So keeping up is hard to do, but definitely great fun. I hope you enjoy the ride.
